Dr. Riall a Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division Chief of Surgical Oncology and the Co-Director of the Oncology Service Line at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson. Her clinical expertise is in pancreaticobiliary surgery, including pancreatic and periampullary cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis, gallstone disease, gastrointestinal cancer, and general surgery.
Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Riall has focused pancreatic and periampullary cancer research spanning the spectrum including basic science, clinical research, population-based research, and translational research through clinical trials. She is a nationally recognized expert in pancreatic disease, with more than 200 publications. She is an active participant in clinical trials at the University of Arizona Cancer Center, looking to bring her patients the most up-to-date treatment options. Dr. Riall served as President of the Society of University Surgeons in 2018, on the American College of Surgeon Board of Governors from 2015-2021, and as President of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract in 2025.
